Welcome to Ron In Exile!
About: The most important thing about me? I’m a follower of Jesus Christ, and I love my family. I suppose I could stop there, but some other things about me… I have a BFA in Acting from Carnegie Mellon University, but I don’t like too much “drama”, if you know what I mean. I have an MA. in Christian Studies from Mars Hill Graduate School, but I’m not what you would call a “postmodern christian” (nor a fundamentalist). I love to read, and I enjoy movies. Biblical reconciliation, especially as it relates to race relations, is very important to me, so I serve at a multi-ethnic/cross-cultural church where fifty different nationalities are represented – a foretaste of the “already/not yet” Kingdom of God. I’m very interested in issues of faith (christian studies/theology), the soul (spiritual/character formation), and culture (primarily creativity and the arts, and how we deal with race). The ways in which these themes intersect, and how Christians interact with them while engaging others is the focus of the blog. Thanks for stopping by.
Peace,
Ron McClelland
